Carola Zelaschi

Composer, arranger, producer, and drummer, born in Buenos Aires in December 1991. She is the founder and member of Blanco Teta, an experimental noise-punk band. In 2019, she composed, produced, and arranged her first solo album, PANAL. That same year, she was selected to take part in a music residency directed by Chilly Gonzales.
She has been an artist-in-residence at Art Omi in Hudson, New York; Ko Arts in Texas; Somar Rumor in Brazil; and Bosque de Creadoras at Teatro Colón. In addition, she has performed live across several European countries, expanding her international reach.
She participated as an orchestral arranger and drummer in “Autoras Argentinas” at the Centro Cultural Kirchner. She also works in sound design and composes original music for stage productions at Teatro Colón, Teatro Nacional Cervantes, and other renowned venues in Buenos Aires’ cultural scene. As a session drummer, she has collaborated with artists such as Marilina Bertoldi, Lucy Patané, among others.
Currently, she is presenting Carolo, her latest solo album, released by SONAMOS, the new label founded by Juana Molina and Mario A. González.
She also released Descargas Eléctricas Occipitales, an EP on the Sello Expandido label: a work where organic ensemble meets noise and sound design, inspired by a neurological condition she experienced in childhood.

Carola Zelaschi’s work is versatile and mischievous: always seeking to break boundaries, genres, and roles, placing herself on the side of risk and originality.
