Monÿang is a French composer and performer of acousmatic music. She holds degrees in electroacoustic music and cinema from Amiens, at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional and the University of Picardy Jules Verne.
Her music blends electronic and acousmatic elements with field recordings; her pieces resemble dreamlike soundscapes, presented via a loudspeaker orchestra. Monÿang embodies this hybridity by creating a unique artistic universe at the intersection of sonic and visual aesthetics, drawing inspiration from Asian culture.
Her compositional approach treats her pieces as spaces of transition and evolution, while emphasizing a bodily attentiveness to sound—echoing Taijiquan and the state of presence cultivated by this practice.
Monÿang is currently preparing her debut EP, designed for spatialized audio. The project was hosted by the national center for musical creation Césaré (Reims) for its initial recordings and is supported by the French Ministry of Culture and the Maison de la musique contemporaine.
