For Paul Méfano 8 musicians are playing the same virtual synthesizer following a precise score. They all start with the same sound but while modifying slowly each parameter, they transforme it deep inside. The sound becomes unique and multiple at the same time. Recorded and mixed at StuStu, this piece is available in octophonic version. In this version, I've played the 8 parts on my own.
" It's necessary to go inside the heart of sound,
the sound have a heart, it is spherical,
it has a center, that's the heart's center.
We got to go there »

David Bowie´s 7 lives, 2018performed at Circuit Fantôme S4 Ep06 on July 26, 2024 in Vronihof/Vienna
A composition with the voice of David Bowie, derived from separate vocal tracks found on the internet. Comprising seven parts lasting 1’30”, representing the seven decades of his existence, each section has a title, an evocation of the concerns of the Artist and man, on each period of his life. Neither a pastiche, nor a remix, but a continuation of what David Bowie could have done, if he had got involved in Musique concrète.
Composition & mix at NanoStu, Commissioned by Alcôme musical organisation.

« In db, David Bowie’s 7 Lives, Jean–Baptiste Favory captures the range of emotions and ubiquitous sounds from Davie, Major Tom, Aladin Sane, Thin White Duke, to Button Eyes. Longing to communicate, seeking to be understood, and the failure to be understood at times – “Can you hear me Major Tom? Can you hear me Major Tom?” He pleads. Love, lust, greed, hate, pain, and the hunger for immortality can all be heard in each of these voices Favory has so artfully aligned and collided here. »
